"F**k unicorns, build the company you wouldn't sell"

Yesterday I was lucky enough to spend some time with one of our inspirations at the School — David Heinemeier Hansson or DHH, co-founder of Basecamp, creator of Ruby on Rails and co-author, along with Jason Fried, of one of our favourite business books, Rework.

We made contact after his recent Medium post Reconsider which had more than 1 million views in a week and caused quite a stir for its provocative tone about the prevailing tech startup culture, particularly in the US.

We talked about what motivated him to write that post in what was an insightful and fun discussion with loads of useful nuggets for anyone looking to build a business for the long-term.
