A Serendipitous Passage to India

The beauty of the web is you can reach people wherever they are. You never know who might stumble upon your work.

But if there's one thing we've learnt since we set up The Happy Startup School, it's that the right people show up.

Karma happens to everyone… If you do good, good will happen to you. If you do bad, bad will happen to you. Put good out to the world and you’ll attract the people and everything you need to make your vision happen

opportunity to foster connections with likeminded people — those with a focus on building their dreams, finding balance in the work they do and the lives they want to live, and in some small way, making a positive dent in the world.

This was one of the most exciting weeks of our lives.

It wasn’t the sort of event that was pre-planned, with only a loose structure. Lots of time for meaningful conversations over fondue and a chance for stories to be told and heard.

If someone wanted to give a talk, you stood up and spoke. If someone wanted to run a workshop, you rounded the troops and went out to find an idyllic spot in the mountains to work together.

During that week Kumaran was brave enough to face the group and share every inch of his journey as an entrepreneur so far. It was an emotional talk with barely a dry eye in the house at the end.

We then invited Kumaran to share his inspiring story at Summercamp in September to 120 people from our community. You can watch the full talk here:

The story continues

In February 2016 Kumaran’s dream of bringing The Happy Startup School to India happened at Ashram, we collaborated on a life-changing experience near Kumaran’s home town of Chennai.

Lots of space for open conversations and stories, amazing food, yoga, mindfulness, ayurveda, surfing, fishing, rickshaw rides and optional visits to utopian cities, ancient temples, Bollywood film sets and startup incubators. If you fancy joining us next time apply now.
